Arctic Fangs began more as a personal challenge than a hobby for Berinvönn Dærthledd, Alaska's premiere local fangsmith.  After receiving his first set in New Orleans, October 2011 from a well-known master of the craft, Berinvönn became fascinated by the art of fang making.

Realizing that there were so many fang makers scattered throughout the U.S. (and none to provide those  services in Alaska), Berinvönn began his fang making pursuit. By February 2014, he created his first set of custom  vampire fangs from a cast of his own teeth.

A year later, after many months of practice and successful high-quality sets, Berinvönn's Arctic Fangs  webpage was published!

About the Fangs:

AF  fangs are handcrafted from a high-quality dental acrylic. To insure a realistic product and a proper fit, steps are taken to color-match the tooth shade and  a cast is made of the customer's teeth. The process involves  very little work in the mouth (unless necessary). Each tooth (fang) is checked for proper fit , appearance and to meet customer satisfaction.

Prices start at 50 dollars (for a simple-single set) and may vary depending on customer specifications. See the 'Photo Gallery'  page:

For the fangsmith, quality is a 'must' and time may be  required to meet customer satisfaction.  It's important for the potential customer to schedule in advance.  Same-day requests ( as well as scheduling the week before Halloween) may not be accepted.

About the Fangsmith:  "I am a HLV residing in 'The Last Frontier',  Alaska. I participate on several online forums and during that time, I am often approached with questions concerning the inaccurate perspectives on where I live. For some people, the film "30 Days of Night" comes to mind and the image of continous darkness fills their imagination. I usually respond with descriptions of long winter nights but, long summer days... As an example of extremity, I would mention Deadhorse, Alaska near the Arctic Circle. A place where night can last for over two months but, daylight can as well...So is the balance of things. Just as we balance the Dayside and Nightside elements in our lives.
I have lived in Alaska nearly all my life. After my introduction to the online Community in 2007, I began a continuous search for vampyres in my (local) community. It gets difficult being (and feeling) so far away from the Lower 48 and it's Vampyre Community... "30 Days of Night" becomes a reality in many ways, especially in regards to distance and isolation. Awakenings can be hard and confusing times. The experience is different for everyone. At times, the feelings of alienation and isolation for those going through it can be overwhelming. There are many supportive groups and reference links on the internet/ OVC that can help... But at times, it's good to know (and realize) that there are Kindred in the immediate-local community... and that we are not alone! For this reason, I became a chapterhead for Bloodlines International , organizer of Alaska's first vampyre meetup, creator of the Alaska's premiere vampire website , Nocturne Borealis. Eventually, I'd like to see the Alaskan vamp-community establish stronger ties to the  'greater network' "
